AMERICAN BUTTERMILK BAKED CHICKEN
(Makes 12 servings)
Ingredients
4 cups bread crumbs
3 cups buttermilk
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 ½ cups grated parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons dried thyme
6 pounds chicken parts (legs, thighs etc)
Procedure
1. Combine in a large bowl buttermilk, hot pepper sauce and salt and pepper
2. In separate bowl combine bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and dried thyme.
3. Place cleaned chicken in wet mixture coating evenly.
4. Dredge chicken in dry mixture to coat evenly.
5. Bake on a baking sheet lines with parchment paper for 35 minutes at 400 degrees until chicken is golden brown.
