CHOCOLATE CHIP PIZZAS
Ingredients
2 1/4 C. Flour
1 t. Baking Soda
1 t. Salt
1 C. Butter, softened
3/4 C. Sugar
3/4 C. Packed Light Brown Sugar
1 t. Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs
2 C. (12 oz. package) Chocolate Chips
1 C. Chopped Nuts (optional)
Procedure
Preheat oven to 375
Combine Flour, Baking Soda and Salt in a small bowl. Beat the Butter, Sugar, Brown Sugar, and Vanilla until creamy.
Add the Eggs, one at a time, until absorbed.
Add in the Flour Mix. Stir in the Chocolate Chips and optional nuts.
Divide batter into two greased 8"cake pans with removable bottoms. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch. Remove from the oven and cool.
Topping & Garnish
4 oz. Semi-sweet Chocolate
2 oz. White Chocolate Garnishes like Slivered Almonds, Walnuts, Burnt Spanish Peanuts, Miniature Chocolate Chip Cookies, etc.
Melt Semi-Sweet Chocolate in Microwave in a bowl for 1 minute on high heat. Stir until smooth. Spread Semisweet Chocolate over cookie pie, to represent the Tomato Sauce, leaving a ½" border to simulate a pizza crust.
Melt the White Chocolate with a tiny bit of Butter or Oil for 1 minute in the Microwave under Medium-High heat. Stir until smooth. With a fork or spoon, drizzle the White Chocolate over the “Pizza” to simulate strands of Cheese.
Garnish with Slivered Almonds. Tiny Cookies, Burnt Peanuts, etc.
