SPICY STRINGBEANS 
(Makes 8 servings)

Ingredients 
1 pound string beans 
2 tablespoons olive oil or sesame oil 
2 cloves garlic 
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes 
1 teaspoon salt

Procedure 
1. Bring 4 cups water to a boil with salt. 
2. Add string beans to boiling water and cook for 5 minutes until tender. 
3. Remove from pot and rinse under cold water. 
4. In a skillet heat 2 tablespoons of the oil and add minced garlic and blanched string beans. 
5. Cook for 2 minutes and add red pepper flakes.
