WALNUT CAKE
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
½ cup milk
1¾ cup flour
2 ½ tsp. baking powder
2 egg whites
¾ cup walnuts
Procedure
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream butter and sugar together. Add in egg yolks. Slowly fold in dry ingredients, alternating with milk. 3. Beat egg whites to make a French meringue. Carefully fold meringue into batter. Carefully fold in walnuts. 4. Bake for 40 minutes.
