ALL-PURPOSE YELLOW CAKE

Ingredients 
2 ½ C. Cake Flour 
2 t. Baking Powder 
½ t. Salt 
12 T. Butter, softened 
1 ½ C. Sugar 
5 Eggs, at room temperature 
1 C. Milk 
2 t. Vanilla Extract

Procedure 
1. Preheat oven to 350.Grease two 9" cake pans 
2. Sift together the Flour, Baking Powder, & Salt 
3. Beat Butter at medium speed for 30 seconds. Continue beating and gradually add the Sugar. Beat until light in color, about 3 minutes 
4. Add Eggs, one at a time, scraping down after each one. Beat 1 more minute. Add about a third of the Flour mix on low speed-mix until just incorporated. Add the Vanilla and a third of the Milk. Continue adding the Flour and Milk in batches, being careful not to over mix. 
5.Spread cake batter into prepared pans. Bake for 22-25 minutes
